Can I play with you?》教案设计

一、教学目标

Teaching aims and learning objectives:

By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

1. understand the text as a whole;

2. learn some reading strategies, such as looking at the pictures carefully and guessing the meaning of new words etc.;

3. improve thinking skills by imagining what else Little Elephant can say etc.;

4. know how to be polite in daily life.

Teaching procedures:

Step Pre-reading

1. Enjoy a song about animals. 

     T: Hello I bring you a lovely song. Let’s dance with music. 

【设计意图】以歌曲形式引入,激活学生已有知识,为导入部分做铺垫,同时营造轻松的课堂氛围,活跃课堂气氛。

    

2. Brain storming: What animals do you like?

T: It is a song about animals.What animals do you like?

 T: Guess: What animal do I like?

  Draw an elephant on the blackboard)边猜测边画画

【设计意图】调动学生的积极性,为课文导入环节做铺垫,引出主角Little Elephant

 

Step While-reading

1. Read the cover

 T: Here is a book about little elephant.  What can you see?

    2. Look and say

Q1:Where are they?

   Q2:What are they playing?

【设计意图】绘本图片中蕴含着丰富的信息,教师应培养学生良好的阅读习惯,阅读绘本时仔细看图,通过仔细观察封面和图片,了解故事背景,预测故事情节。这也是阅读的基本能力之一。

3. Why is Little Elephant crying? 

a. Try to imagine  Discuss in groups and imagine why the Little Elephant is crying.

    b. Watch and find   观看动画,找出小象哭泣的原因

【设计意图】通过一副图片,引起学生的探究小象哭泣原因的好奇心。先小组讨论,让学生发挥想象,充分给予学生运用所学语言进行自我表达的机会。然后观看动画,在文本中寻找答案。

4. Read and find

Read the book from pages 4-15 and find how the Little Elephant deal with other animals.【设计意图】在细节阅读式,鼓励学生在文章中找出小象式怎样和其他动物打交道的。学生在文本中找寻这些答案的同时也在不断思考,为什么小象会没有朋友。

5. Try to act

【设计意图】 此环节目的在于加强学生的积累,培养良好的读书习惯。制作读书笔记和阅读导图是一种实实在在的语言输入,是学习和积累语言的有效方法,是培养语言能力的基本手段。
